Laser print on archival photo paper
Our reality is created in our minds, and sometimes it's hard to maintain perspective. It's ok to be stuck in your own head, just be sure you remember to step out from under the rain when you're ready.
The bedsheet ghost represents us all at one point or another in time. Those moments when bearing your true self feels unsafe, or unsure, or just plain impossible. And yet, the day goes on, time passes, and we are all in this world together just doing our best to get by. Approaching the topics of self-identity, insecurity, mental health and a yearning to belong through the medium of playful illustration has been a fun juxtaposition and exploration that has taught me that even in the heavy moments, there can be levity.
This print was made from an original illustration of pen and ink and alcohol markers on archival paper.
