Collection: City of Angels

This collection from LA is the first in the large canvas paintings to be painted without any black. Typically, the artist uses the colour black to represent HerSelf in her paintings, but for this collection, her experience of traveling through Los Angeles felt out-of-body, almost surreal. She was a passive observer in a busy and vast city, not fully in control of her own schedule and plans. The artist communicates this by avoiding the use of black ink or paint.
