Collection: Mentorship

You’re an artist.
You make things—paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, films. You write stories, poems, songs. You turn ingredients into meals. You solve problems every day, not all of them artistic...but...one thing is for sure, you’re a creative person.
But lately, you’ve felt… stuck.
You crave momentum.
More visibility. More exhibitions. More sales. More inspiration.
You want to turn your art-making into an art-living—one that supports you, financially and creatively.
I get it. I’ve been there.
I’m Tania LaCaria. I now make a living from creating art full time.
But it wasn’t always like this.
For 16 years, I took a hiatus from my art practice. I chose a "practical" approach to my work life: luxury interior design, e-commerce, writing, public speaking...and then there was the hospitality project - the one that nearly killed me and through me into complete misery and burn out.
Was my work life creative? Yes—but I wasn’t living as an artist. I was workignt o live. I was surviving.
Then everything changed.
A personal life upheaval cracked everything open. And I chose to return to what I love most: my art.
It didn’t happen overnight. It took time, tears, and plenty of trial and error.
But I figured it out—and now, I want to help you do it faster, with more clarity, and a lot less burnout (aka maybe no burnout at all!).
I'm not here to gate keep the steps that got me to this point, in fact, the way I see it is that the world needs more artists stepping into their creative power to produce work that will document the world we’re currently living in. Everyone’s art is a unique expression of their own perspective, and I believe the more art that gets made and shared with the world, the better.
I want to help contribute to the making of art however I can. And I value making meaningful connections with other people. Like you.
That’s why I created these programs.
My one-on-one sessions are designed to support you as you:
-
Find your unique voice and artistic identity
-
Build a body of work that feels true and sellable
-
Navigate opportunities with clarity and discernment
-
Create an intentional presence on social media
-
Step fully into the role of “artist”—on your own terms
-
Get out of your own way so you can actually start creating art instead of dreaming about creating it.
I’m working on a way to reach as many creatives as possible through multiple online platforms - but for now, the most effective way to do this is through one-on-one mentorship.
And if the word “mentorship” sounds weird to you (because it did to me, too, at first, to claim the role of ‘mentor’) think of what I do as more like stern (but loving) guidance that’s catered to your unique situation and creative practice.
And keep in mind that mentoring is a two-way street. My programs work best when I work with clients who are eager to share about their practice openly - this means being vulnerable about where they believe their strengths lie and also what they see their creative and professional blocks are (betcha I’ll uncover a couple of new ones too...).
I work best with the artists who are just downright READY to move forward. For the people who proudly claim themselves as artists, and for the folks who want to be able to confidently state that title for themselves but are still trapped behind imposter syndrome. I get it.
My program works best for people who are less-talk-more-action. For the folks who are ready to start running the race but not sure where the starting line is or how to pace themselves. That’s where I come in.
I’ll guide you through the process. I’ll keep it real with you. I’ll make sure you leave our conversations with clarity so you can take your next steps forward. I’ll use my superpowers to see your strengths and point them out to you; I’ll help you see where you could re-direct your energy in your creative practice to be the most productive. I’ll show up for you because without even knowing you, I know you can do this. Why?
Because I did it. And while it’s not an easy process, it *is* pretty simple.
All you have to do is take the first step towards investing in yourself and your expression. Then we’ll tackle the rest together.
Whenever you’re ready to claim your space as an artist and build the artist life you’ve been dreaming about—I’m here to help. If you're on the fence about which program works best for you, reach out to start a conversation here.
