The only way to rebuild is to allow the breaking to happen. Then the process of rebuilding, making a new, reestablishing boundaries and setting fresh priorities can happen freely and openly. Maybe the shards of what was left behind are used to build something new, or maybe the building happens entirely with fresh materials. The shattering is a necessary step towards renewed self-confidence and a purposeful life.
The messy pile of broken glass that was stripped away still shimmers and catches the light. And what's left behind from where the pieces were once attached is now exposed, fresh, new and a space to create something new is left in place.
